Expo will provide students with valuable opportunities to speak with employers, current students from Career and Technical Education programs and colleges, and learn about local education opportunities

AUSTIN – Workforce Solutions Capital Area (Workforce Solutions) has partnered with Austin Independent School District (AISD) and the Central Texas Healthcare Partnership (CTHP) to host a Healthcare Career Awareness Expo for middle school students in Austin on March 13 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Clifton Career Development School (1519 Coronado Hills Dr, Austin, TX 78752).

The expo will provide students with valuable opportunities to speak with employers, current students from Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs and colleges, as well as learn about local education opportunities. The Austin community can follow the event online by using the hashtag #Future512.

Healthcare is a key economic sector in the Austin/Travis County area. The demand from local healthcare providers continues to grow for occupations such as medical assistants, surgical technologists, and middle-skill nurses (licensed vocational and associate degree RN).
