The Austin area is one of the hottest job markets in the country, Still, not everyone is able to benefit from the growth and opportunities in the region.

Low-income families may find it difficult to work or pursue an education and pay for child care without financial assistance. This is why Workforce Solutions Capital Area (WFS) offers child care scholarships and corresponding providers to meet the needs of their families. We also help local child care centers improve greater measures of quality.

Although there are families on a waitlist to receive child care support, the waitlist includes families who initially expressed interest but have since made other arrangements or their circumstances have changed. Therefore, intake is open for new child care enrollments, and we are actively reaching out to the families on our waitlist to fill those spots and move them into care.
