COVID-19 Resources for Child Care Providers and Parents
We all find ourselves in extraordinary circumstances, coming together to ensure the health and safety or our families, staff and community. The team here at Workforce Solutions Capital Area wants you to know we truly appreciate the work you do each and every day. The health and safety of everyone is our top priority.
Workforce Solutions is committed to providing continued support and services to you, our valued partner. If you should determine that it is in the best interest of your staff, families and the community to temporarily close due to the impact of COVID-19, we would continue to pay for all active referrals. Any staff who may be affected by a reduction in your operations or a full closure can contact Workforce Solutions at 512.485.3792 or go here for resources for job seekers.
If you remain open and provide care for school-age children that would normally attend your center part-time, you will be reimbursed at the full-time rate until school resumes or childcare services end. We recognize that Child Care Licensing has issued guidance limiting public access which prevents parents from entering the facility to record attendance, so we will continue to pay for absences/non-swipe days beyond the allowable 40 days and children will not be adversely impacted.
Workforce Solutions will provide extensions to families who are due to redetermine their eligibility during this time as well as assistance with their parent share of cost.
We are here to support our community partners through this uncertain time and will provide regular updates as it relates to services from Workforce Solutions.
