How to Apply for Child Care Assistance

Workforce Solutions – Child Care Services provides subsidized child care assistance to eligible low- to moderate-income families in Travis County.

Am I Eligible?

Parents are pre-screened for three basic eligibility requirements:

• Parents must be working or in school or training for at least 25 hours a week if in a single parent household or for at least 50 hours combined hours if in a two parent household
  
• The household must meet income guidelines which varies based on family size
  
• Parents must reside in Travis County, Texas

Parents interested in applying for child care assistance from Workforce Solutions must fill out the following application:

Enrollment in the child care program is subject to the availability of funds. Because the need for child care services is great in our community, we currently maintain a list of families waiting to be enrolled in the child care program. When enrollment into the program is not immediately available, parents are encouraged to complete and submit an application so that you may be placed on the waitlist. At any time, parents may call our office to check on the status of enrollment.
