WIA Youth Eligibility
WIA YOUTH ELIGIBILITY To be eligible to participate, a youth must: - Be a Travis County resident
- Be between the ages 14-24
- Be a U.S. Citizen or a non-citizen authorized to work in the United States
- If male aged 18+, be registered for Military Selective Service
- Meet low income guidelines (see list below)
Family Size Family Income 1 $10,830 2 $14,570 3 $18,310 4 $22,523 5 $26,583 6 $31,089 7 $35,595 8 $40,101 >8 add $4,304 for each person above 8 Priority will be given to youth who all under at least one of the following categories: - School dropout
- Basic literacy skills (reading and math) deficient
- Behind grade level
- Pregnant or parenting
- Disabled
- Homeless or runaway
- Foster youth
- Offender
