Youth Career Fest

Youth Career Fest is a free public event that seeks to inform students in grades 8 - 12 of their potential career paths by facilitating conversations between students and professionals from a variety of fields.

Representatives from information technology employers, government agencies, engineering firms and more have participated in past Youth Career Fest events. In 2018, more than 140 local employers and higher education representatives attended.

The Austin Metro Area Master Community Workforce Plan officially launched June 1, 2017. Year One of this ambitious but necessary five-year community plan has been both a great success and a valuable learning lesson.

Join us in both celebrating our early wins and discussing how our community will continue to move forward in years two throug give of the Master Plan.


 

 

A unique event targeting the youth often left out of traditional career fairs - Opportunity Youth. This event aims to not only expose opportunity youth to in-demand career opportunities in our community but to also provide them with opportunities to participate in job shadowing activities with local employers. Following the Career Fair, interested opportunity youth will attend job shadowing appointments occurring the month of October.
